and travellers are coming out of hibernation.  Back Porch SerenityThe economy may be struggling but you wouldn't know it here in Quechee.  And if the lackluster economy isn't enough to keep travellers home, usually mud season will do it.  But that's not the case this year.  Here at the Inn we've been busier than ever. Mud season came and then disappeared very quickly.  I had a chance to drive some of the back dirt roads and they were mushy for sure but not as bad as past years.  Our guests told me they "just needed to get away".  Neither a poor economy nor mud season mattered.  What they wanted was some well-deserved relaxation and a bit of adventure as well.  Some guests headed off to visit Vermont's covered bridges, some enjoyed private massages.  Several of our guests took hot-air balloon flights. One of our guests was in training to run a half-marathon and spent a great deal of time in our workout room and jogging along our back roads.  And then we hosted guests who wanted nothing more than a nice, comfortable room, good breakfasts, fine dining and a great book to read.  From the way reservations are starting to come in, May and June are booking up even faster than March and April.  Hope you get a chance to head up our way and enjoy a fantastic Vermont spring.  See you soon!
