Our bed and breakfast hosted a full house this past Valentine's Day and President's Day Weekend and guests enjoyed our romantic setting. We were hoping for a bit more snow as our last major snowstorm occured in December. It felt more like spring here. However, one couple rented snowmobiles and enjoyed a great ride through the Calvin Coolidge State Forest in Plymouth, VT. They said that riding conditions were excellent. As I write today's Blog, we're experiencing quite the storm - at least a foot of snow fell during the night and it's still coming down. I'm quite surprised we haven't had a power outage as tree limbs are so weighted down with the heavy, white snow. We're fortunate here because we have a heavy duty generator that supplies power to the entire property. A second storm is on its way. Looks like our ski areas will be in great shape with the new snowfall. So head on up to Vermont for some great skiing, snowmobiling, x-country skiing or snowboarding. I'm sure Sugarbush Farm will be offering horse-drawn sleigh rides again. I highly recommend this picturesque ride through their beautiful woods, pastures and along old sugaring trails.
