Guests and neighbors in the Quechee area were treated to the arrival of several VIP's who chose to land their private helicopter on the grounds of the Inn.  Sometimes people just don't have the time to deal with airports, train stations and rental cars so what better way to travel than in your own personal aircraft.  This past Tuesday, the Inn was pleased to accommodate these delightful guests and their helicopter.  Skies were bright blue and local weather conditions great for a perfect landing.  From up above, the aircraft first circled the Inn before selecting the best spot to set down.  The landing went off without a hitch, although it blew a small section of the horse fence down.  However, in anticipation of its arrival, we had moved our horses to a distant pasture. The horses are used to hot-air balloons lifting off from our backyard but we weren't quite sure about a helicopter.  Our guests departed the aircraft and after welcoming them to Quechee, we were able to chat a bit with the two pilots.  Later that afternoon, the guests (all 11 of them) enjoyed the spectacular scenery of our area from two hot-air balloons.  Definitely an exciting afternoon for everyone.  In order to respect the privacy of our guests, we have chosen to keep their identity anonymous.  They were all a delight, we enjoyed every moment spent with them and we know they'll return soon.  Thank you for staying with us!
