FAIRBANKS MUSEUM AND PLANETARIUM - is Northern New England's Museum of Natural History. Located in St. Johnsbury, it inspires appreciation for our place in the natural world. FIRESTONES - Located just 1 mile from the Inn at Clearwater Pond, this restaurant is perfect for casual and family dining. On weekends, the kitchen stays open until 9:45 pm, making it convenient for our late-arrival guests. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and there is also a very large bar area. Outside dining is available as well. The menu is extensive and features wood-fired flatbread pizzas. Their Farmer's Chopped Salad is a favorite with the locals.

KILLINGTON MOUNTAIN - The seven mountains of Killington know no season and is the choice of outdoor enthusiasts of all kinds. With 95 miles of skiing and snowboarding terrain, it is one of the largest ski areas in the world. Once the snows have melted, many of the trails support mountain biking and hiking. Golf, the VAST trails, the Appalachian and Long Trails are in close proximity. Just down the road are the well-known towns of Woodstock and Quechee, VT.

LLAMA TREK - Just down the road from our Inn is a llama farm that offers a hiking adventure with a llama. They offer guided tours on beautiful wooded trails that lead to the Connecticut River. Our Inn will be happy to put you in touch with the guide regarding reservations and any questions you may have concerning the hike. Currently they do not have a website.
LONG TRAIL BREWERY - Experience some of their award winning brews while dining alongside the banks of the Ottaquechee River in Bridgewater, VT., only a short drive from Woodstock and Quechee, VT. Tour the brewery, visit the gift shop, inside and outdoor dining. A fun place with good homestyle food and a variety of excellent brews. Killington Ski Mountain is a short drive up the road.
MAPLE GROVE FARMS OF VERMONT - is located in St. Johnsbury, VT - about a 1 hour drive from the Inn. They have been making maple products for over 86 years. They are open to the public and have a gift shop on the premises. Also an online store and gift baskets.

MARSH-BILLINGS-ROCKEFELLER NATIONAL HISTORIC PARK - Located in Woodstock, VT and close to Quechee, VT.,the property's residential core and 550 acre forest was created in 1992 as a gift to the American people by Mary and Laurance Rockefeller. This is a landscape of loss, recovery and conservation - a story of people taking care of places and sharing an enduring connection to land.
MONTSHIRE MUSEUM - The museum is located on a 110-acre site near the Connecticut River in Norwich, Vermont. This is a "hands-on" museum with dozens of exciting exhibits that relate to natural and physical sciences, ecology and technology. Its outdoor environment is a large part of the visitors experience. Enjoy the 2 acre Science Park, located in a beautiful park-like setting. There are easy to moderate walking trails. This is also the official visitors center for the Silvio O. Conte National Fish and Wildlife Refuge.
P.J. MORGAN - MASSAGE THERAPIST - P.J. Morgan is our on-site massage therapist. P.J. uses her skills and expertise for all de-stressing techniques. She is also a Reiki specialist. Reiki is a technique for stress reduction and relaxation. Reiki also promotes healing. Enjoy this wonderful and private massage in the comfort of your room or cottage. Reservations are a must. NORMAN ROCKWELL MUSEUM - The museum, located in Rutland, Vermont, is dedicated to the enjoyment and study of the work of one of America's favorite artists. The museum houses the largest and most significant collection of original Rockwell art. Rockwell is best known for his illustrations that appeared on the covers of the Saturday Evening Post.
PATH OF LIFE GARDEN - A public sculpture garden, located in Windsor, Vermont. The garden tells the story of the great circle of life with 18 works of art that symbolize our journey from birth to death and beyond. SKUNK HOLLOW TAVERN - An authentic country tavern, dating back to the late 1700's, the "Skunk", as we call it, has been a favorite dining spot with the locals. More formal dining is located upstairs and a casual and fun tavern is downstairs. There is a small bar area and a beautiful stone fireplace. SUICIDE SIX SKI MOUNTAIN - Just a little north of the village of Woodstock is Suicide Six. There are 23 trails, ranging in difficulty from novice to expert. "Face" has challenged skiers for over 50 years. Also snowboarding trails, bar, restaurant, ski shop and ski school.
